One of the “most explosive movie musicals in recent memory bursts onto the live stage with exhilarating results. In this adaptation from the 1984 film of the same name, a city kid attempts to adapt to life in a conservative backwater Midwestern town. Once there, he ends up leading the repressed teenagers into a rebellion against the town fathers, who have outlawed rock & roll and dancing.
